crecorder cant update

i have a c recorder which i bought from DJ trans in 2009 i cant find the box with serial number to update so i phoned DJ/launch they have record of the sale but no number.how can I register it to update any help appreciated.

truthfully, a few years ago you did have to register the unit when you needed your downloads BUT now you don't you can just goto the download centre and download the version of software with out any regestration
